Roger Turner considers himself by and large as a semi realist figurative painter, which is reflected in the charcoal and white chalk drawings and portraits that he creates. For his monochrome works of art, Roger works in predominantly in charcoal, white chalk or white pastel on various types of pastel papers. Also producing portraits in graphite and graphite powder on paper or Bristol Board. Some of these works make use of other mediums such as a subtle use of colour in pastel, watercolour or acrylic inks.
